

Gunwarrie is a family owned and operated broad acre business that specializes in the production of grain and straw. The property was purchased by the Shields family in 2002, as a high rain fall cropping property.
Gunwarrie is 8000ha in total size and 6100ha is cropped each year in rotation of Wheat, Barley, Canola and Oaten Hay. The average annual rain fall is between 550 - 600mm with most falling during the winter period.
The property is located in the Great Southern of Western Australia. The area is known as The Frankland River region. The property is situated 14km east of the town Frankland River and 35km west of the town Cranbrook.
The main Agriculture in the region is sheep, grain, beef cattle, vine yards and olives. The region is well known for its production of quality white and red wine.
